Responding to Pope Leo's Call for Solidarity for Peace
by: The Workshop Team, April 21, 2026

Pope Leo’s recent appeals for peace have resonated across the Christian world because they echo a truth shared by all followers of Jesus: God does not bless violence, and the Gospel never justifies the destruction of peoples or nations. His words remind believers that regardless of denomination, the Holy Spirit calls us to be peacemakers who refuse to let fear, anger, or political pressure drown out Christ’s command to love our neighbor. In a time when some voices try to frame war as righteous or divinely sanctioned, Pope Leo’s witness points us back to the heart of Christian discipleship: choosing mercy over retaliation, dialogue over threats, and the protection of human life over the pursuit of power. His stance is not about politics but about fidelity to the One who said, "Blessed are the Peacemakers”.

Praise be to the Lord Christ!
